Woman's Guild

The Women's Guild is a group to which every woman in the church belongs. We have only a few meetings each year, but try to have activities of some kind throughout the year.

The year started with Women's Sunday on February 8. The meditation was "I Love to tell the Story".  Heidi Liverseed, Liz Bongard, and Cecy Haines shared in the service.  Pastor Denise and Penny Roth organized our service which was followed with coffee fellowship in the Education building basement. 

On March 20 we had our Women's Guild Lenten luncheon.  Nearly 50 people from four area churches gathered for a delicious meal.  Stories were shared by Dr. Bill Wenzel.  Program chair was Marcia Nachreiner,  kitchen chair was Jeanann Breininger, and decoration chair was Sharon Rieke.

The Mother-Daughter banquet was held on May 6th.  Our theme was “Teddy Bear Picnic.” Lois Pieper was program chair, kitchen chairs were Judy Weinke and Toddy Loether, and decoration chairs were Sherry Pieper, Judy Weinke and Lois Pieper. 

September brought the annual meeting. Officers are as follows: President: Marcia Nachreiner, Vice-President: Rita Larsen, Secretary: Debbie Tschudy, Treasurer: Sherry Steffen. Discussion topics were refurbishing of the sanctuary basement kitchen, kitchern coordinator, church photo albums, Guild calendar, and a possible fundraiser for the organ project.

November 13 was our annual cleaning day. A small crew worked hard and enjoyed a potluck lunch.

This year we ended with a Christmas program on December 2. The group shared Christmas memories and stories of Christmas gifts. Program chairs were Lois Pieper and Sherry Steffen; Lois and Dianna Woerpel created the decorations. Debbie Tschudy took care of the refreshments.
